Students of the College are spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to have for lunch!
The Campus Cafeteria offers students a variety of hot food, salads, sandwiches and snacks to see our students through the day. The Cafeteria is also a great meeting place for students, either inside at the tables provided or in the Gathering Space outside.
The Coffee Shop & Juice Bar provide an alternative option for students, with freshly squeezed juices, espresso coffee, sandwiches and cold drinks available throughout the day.
And because of the unique Campus environment, there is usually something available from first thing in the morning until late afternoon.
Studying the HSC can be a stressful time for students. There are important decisions to be made about future study or working options and the stress of exams to deal with.
Coffs Harbour Senior College has a dedicated Careers & Counselling Team available to support students through these important years of schooling. Located above the Cafeteria in F Block, the Careers & Counselling Service is available to any student who needs guidance, support or just someone to talk to about how they are coping with the demands of the HSC and what they might do after completing school.
The College is part of the Federal Government's Digital Education Revolution program, that provides every student from Years 9 to 12 with a laptop to use to assist with their studies. These laptops are supported by our Technology Support Officer in the IT Help Desk. Students should bring their DER laptop with them from their previous NSW Government school, or if they have previously attended a private school, a laptop will be issued to them.
The College has a wide range of IT resources available to students, including a number of computer labs, wireless internet covering most of the campus, advanced photocopying and printing facilities, as well as our Student Learning Centre which provides additional support with the use of IT equipment.
Students at Coffs Harbour Senior College have access to a large, well resourced university-style library. The CHEC Library is a shared resource, that has been made possible through our unique partnership with Southern Cross University and North Coast Institute of TAFE at Coffs Harbour Education Campus.
The Student Learning Centre is a dedicated student support area, providing access to IT and multimedia equipment, computing facilities, printing & photocopying services as well as a quiet study area as an alternative to the library.
The SLC Support Officer is on hand to assist students to use any of the equipment and students are also able to borrow a range of computing and multimedia equipment to assist with their studies.
