.. Entry into Medicine in NSW
Information on how to apply to Medicine in NSW is available in the current UAC news. Please note that universities require students to sit for the Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test (UMAT). Students must apply to sit the UMAT before 7th June. As well as sitting the UMAT applicants need to apply directly to the university and submit an application to UAC. Please note that the UMAT is used for other health related courses.
.. Semester 2 TAFE Courses
Students considering leaving school to study at TAFE should be aware that Semester 2 applications close in late May. A list of courses is available from me or at www.nci.tafensw.edu.au
.. University Information
Information regarding open days at NSW universities is available in the current UAC news (go to www.uac.edu.au then to undergraduate/publications/download). Also in the current UAC news are key dates for applications. 2014 UAC Guides will be available early in term 3 with the closing date for applications being 27th September. A very useful site for university information is available at www.myfuture.edu.au This site covers all Australian universities and has links to all courses. Please be aware that scholarships may be advertised through university websites rather than being sent to the college. It is a good idea to start looking at available scholarships soon rather than wait until next term. Most NSW universities, and a number of Queensland universities, will be present at the Mid North Coast Post Secondary Options Expo to be held here on Wednesday, 24th July.
