.. Regional University Roadshow

Southern Cross University will host the Regional University Roadshow to be held on Wednesday, 14^th   March at 1pm. Representatives from Southern Cross University, University of New England, and Charles Sturt University will each give a brief presentation and will be available for individual questions. All of these institutions have early entry programs and have been extremely helpful in assisting students to gain entry into university.

Topics to be covered include application to university, costs associated with study, scholarships, special application schemes and course specific information. The presentation should be extremely useful for any student thinking about studying at university.

.. UAC Guides

I have a number of last year’s UAC Guides to give away. These contain the most recent information regarding specific universities in NSW, courses available for study and recent ATAR cutoffs. If you would like a UAC Guide please see me. Year 12 students will receive a 2013 UAC Guide in late July.

.. Tax File Numbers

If you need a tax file number please see me for an application. It usually takes about a month to receive a Tax File Number.

.. Defence Technical Scholarships

These scholarships, valued at $2,000 for Year 11 and $3,000 for Year 12, are now open for application. Students who are studying any level of Mathematics and a VET course (or Engineering Studies) are eligible to apply, with the closing date being 9^th March. Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test (UMAT)

UMAT is a 3 hour multiple-choice test used to assist with the selection of students into medicine, dentistry and health science degree programs.
UMAT2012 will be held on 25 July 2012. UMAT is offered once a year only.
Registrations for UMAT2012 will open early in April 2012.
Registrations close at 5pm AEST on 1 June 2012.
Late registrations will be accepted up to 5pm AEST on Friday 15 June 2012 on payment of a late fee of $65 in addition to the registration fee of $210.
The online registration system will close at 5pm AEST on Friday 15 June 2012.
It will NOT be possible to register for UMAT 2012 after this time.
UMAT practice tests are available to purchase.
Practice Test 1 is included in the UMAT registration fee.
