College Programs
Crossroads
Crossroads is a unique program that reflects some of the contemporary health and social issues facing young people in our community. It acknowledges and aims to support senior students as they address changing issues related to identity, independence and their changing responsibilities.
All Year 11 students at the College participate in the Crossroads program, which addresses issues such as drug and alcohol abuse and the link to mental health and depression, being an individual and working at relationships, dealing with contracts such as mobile phone plans, safe driving skills, safe partying, coping with stress and other problems teenagers face.
The College organises a number of guest speakers from the local community covering a range of topics such as stress management, dealing with the Department of Fair Trading, maintaining healthy relationships from Interrelate, the problems of sexting, cyberbulling, safe partying and going to the GP.
